Legality of a website?
Hi guys!
My name is Daniel, and I am new to this forum. I just finished undergrad with a political science/pre law degree, and have been preparing to go to law school. I recently made the decision to put grad school to the side, and pursue some online business ideas I've been thinking about. It was a tough decision, but I need to try. No risk no reward. So that was just a little bit about me :)
I am new to all of this, but trying to learn as much as I can. The first step is to make a domain name, then find a host. As far as the legality of my website, company name etc.. what needs to be done? I know I need to apply for my LLC.. but is there anything else I should know to be legal and protected?
Sorry if it seems like I'm asking the most ridiculous questions..:o

I am not an atty either, but I agree with the above.
You can get away with doing very little. It's a matter of risk. And it is confusing too. There is a lot of debate about whether or not an LLC is helpful for a 1-person shop. I discuss that here:

Lynn and I both came to the conclusion that Insurance was more important than an LLC. There is a monster thread in here somewhere. I found that insurance was hard to find and never pulled the trigger.
Found that monster thread

Good luck.
