Looking for thoughts/opinions on my video
Hi there. I have this video on youtube and there has only been like 10 views in a month or whatever it has been since I put it up. Now, I did not really do any keyword linking or anything because I wasn't sure how.
What I am looking for today is some opinions on the video, what could make it better, and how do I make it so that people will be flocking to see it and want to share it with others.
I am just getting into the video marketing aspect of this all and have to learn as much as I need to so, I thought I would start with you all.
thanks

Reviewing Ebookshack Videos
Such a difference between the two videos! Let me throw out a few thoughts, no right or wrong, just how each of these affected me differently.
1) Clipart Video - I got bored through the middle with so many cartoon shots back to back. For me, I would cut down on the clipart - maybe 1/3 of what you are using now. The main emphasis should be the actual 'info' shots. That's what your viewer is interested in anyway. The quicker you get to the important info, the better. The clipart should just be sprinkled in enough to break it up a little and add some 'lightness'. (is that a word?) Overall, this video seems a bit impersonal for my preference but certainly a creative project on your part. I know you worked hard on it so I wouldn't trash it, but I don't think it will be your strongest marketing video in the long run.
2) Personal Video - This was my FAV also! I 'met' you, saw your face, heard your nice speaking voice, saw your expressions as you spoke to me...and THERE is the key! You spoke TO ME like we were in the same room. All of those personal factors make a HUGE difference in whether I would put my trust in you to order a product or subscribe to a service. If I was a young mom, I would relate immediately, because you are working your biz around your children. Is it professional? Not really but is it REAL LIFE, yes!!! Many, many mothers have this same struggle every day. I definitely think keeping the 'busy mommy' factor in your marketing video is a good idea. Just be careful not to let it reduce the video quality or distract. I have some ideas on how to strategically incorporate the 'mommy' that I can share with you in an email if you are interested.
Some immediate suggestions: Record at night when the kids are asleep - just set up lots of lighting since you won't have any natural light from a window. Raise your camera or laptop a bit higher so you aren't looking downward into the lens. Looking level or just slightly up is always more attractive! Eliminate noise, ...stereos, tv, kids crying, dogs barking, phones ringing, etc. You can use a white board or a closed, solid-colored curtain as a backdrop. If you prefer, you can use a natural setting somewhere in your home. Find an attractive space but then also take time to 'stage' it so it looks nice. You don't want cluttered or distracting.
For me personally, I love video marketing. I think you'll do great with videos! The more you record, the more comfortable you'll get - I certainly did! I have some other ideas for you too, if you are interested. I would LOVE to help you with your videos, if you'd like, (no charge).
