I agree with you that traffic to a website is very important, but do not agree that it is the most important skill. The most important skill for online success is conversion.
You can have a million visitors and if none of them convert into buyers you will not be successful. On the other hand, if you have 100 visitors and 50% of those visitors convert into buyers you are on your way to success.
