Default Need a Site Redesign Based on Headway Theme (but will consider other options)

    Hi all.

I want to have my website redesigned: http://behaviorandmotivation.com to brighten and freshen it up.

I have no clue of specifically what design elements I want. I only have some general ideas. So I'm looking for someone who knows something about design in general as well as designing for smooth and effective user-experience and SEO in mind, and who has a creative flair.

My site is running on the Headway Theme version 2.x. I'd prefer someone with experience with Headway and also need it upgraded to Headway 3.x. But I will consider not using Headway if I'm comfortable with the designer's vision.

I have no clue how much site redesigns cost. So where do we begin? What do you need to know so you can give me prices? Help me out and let's get the ball rolling so I can make a decision if this is the way to go for my specific needs. :-)

    Thanks!

Edited to add the following note:

If this relationship goes well, I will likely use you again for more projects. So I'd be super-stoked if I found someone who rocked and who I really connected with. :-)

Hey Scott. How did you go with the redesign of your site? I have been doing extensive research on design elements myself. I can recommend some good resources. I've also heard positive things about headway but have never used it.

My question is, do you need to redesign? How are your conversions? Do you feel the design is the weakest link? Also this site seems to be a blog so it doesn't appear you would need any special elements. But then maybe you want a landing page.

Let me know if you want help identifying pieces and ways of presenting them. I am happy to brainstorm with you.

Mark, I've finally went with Studiopress and their Genesis Framework. I'm using the "Fabric" theme. Originally, my wife and I supported Headway and bought the expensive unlimited license. But in one of their updates, they more or less completely redesigned Headway and didn't include what's called an "upgrade path" so you could automatically upgrade and update very easily. Instead, they claimed it wasn't possible because of the redesign. The earlier version was buggy but had awesome potential. But sadly we had been so severely burned by them we switched altogether.

As for my conversions, I've been out of the loop for quite a while and have no clue about my conversions or even whose visiting my site. It hasn't been my priority due to personal existentialist examinations (which is just a part of my personality - LOL). Anyway, I'm hoping to get my head back in the game this year.

Thanks for checking in with me.
