Default How can he on top with only almost forum backlinks?

    Hi,

Recently I tried to analyze a site doing product launch . This one is often on top 1 or 2 with many products and it seem that he only builds backlinks from forums and there's around only 50 backlinks(I used ahrefs to check but I use free version so I can't see all of his backlinks but I believe almost of them are from forums). I know that those are high pr forums but domain pr is not relevant to page pr right? Whenever he comments, creates a new thread or creates a profile, isn't it pr 0 or n/a? How can high pr forums help him climb on top of google easily?

Here's one of his page: seozenpro-review.com/reviews/youtube-quick-cash-review/

PR (PageRank) is not relevant period. That and backlinking - or "SEO" in general - is old school. Is this a competitor of yours, or why are you analyzing his methods? If you can give me some insight into your objectives, I may be able to offer more help.

    Hi Lynn,

Yes, I'm doing launch jacking and many times I saw his site on top and I still wonder how. Actually I chat with him personally and already asked him how can he do that. He said he only need to Seo his site on top with a few backlinks but then he doesn't reveal anything more. I think his methods is good as it isn't time consuming so I tried to studied it. But I'm still new to Internet marketing so there's something I don't know and need a pro like you to help. I know backlinking is old now but for launch jacking, I think it's still good as we only need to push the page on top during the launch time.

The thing is... unless you have a product to launch NOW, you're wasting your time studying his (current) methods. Things change fast, and what works today may not work six weeks or six months from now when you're ready to implement.

I have a personal rule, which is: only buy/study/read what I need right now, to accomplish what I'm working on right now. Period. That's just smart strategy given the fast-paced changing web. ;-)

    Hi Lynn,

Oh may be you misunderstood, we're not vendors, we're affiliate so we always have new products to promote. I think his current method is consistent as he's using it to push his site on top of google many times whenever he promote a new product. I really need to learn his method so it can help my site rank better during the launch time.

It all depends on what he's ranking for exactly - if it's a unique product name (easy!) or if it's a competitive broad phrase relevant to what the product offers (not as easy).
