There's a big scare spreading across the internet like wildfire about the upcoming April 21 Google Update. It's really not that big of a deal though, and it only takes a few minutes to make sure your blog or website is compliant.
First, if you aren't aware of the upcoming update, or you're confused about everything you've read from various sources, just read this post:
A simple solution, assuming you use WordPress, is the WPtouch Mobile Plugin. It only takes a few minutes to install and customize, it's FREE, and it performs great with very few customizations:
I have read that announcement too. I think that that action by Google is simply because there are many mobile users now. In addition, mobile now a day really improve a lot.
Only thing I needed to do was update one site to a new theme. I've been using a mobile friendly theme for my main sites for a couple of years now.
Taking the easy way out by using wordpress (LOVE) means also putting a little effort and money into good themes. Putting that money out early means no money out of pocket now lol
Actually wasn't aware of the change. I know I should be up on all this stuff, but . . . I ain't. Already knew my sites were good to go though as I've had them up on my phone from time to time showing them to friends and family. But for the fun, I did check them all out on the tool. All passed.
I'm using the Weaver II Pro theme which goes mobile nicely. Just found out though, that this version of the Weaver family won't be updated anymore. Weaver Xtreme is the new kid out. Looks great but is prcey. Probably will stay with II for now. I've been happy with it.
