Default feedback on sales enquiry response

Hello, I'm new here and know absolutely nothing about sales, I am trying to help my daughter get more sales within her photography business, her work is of a very high standard so that's not what is stopping the sales, I feel when people enquire the response they are getting is just not enough to grab them and make them want to spend so I have wrote a first response that I am hoping will make them not just say "ok thank you" but will encourage them to ask more questions or better still book and pay a deposit, but as I said I know nothing about sales so just not sure if I have it right, would really appreciate your feedback and advice on what I can change/add to make it better, here it is ....

    Hello (clients name)

Thank you for enquiring about my new portrait photography package, firstly let me tell you why I feel capturing images of your children is so important, in this day and age we tend to take photographs of our children using our mobile phones, which is lovely until the phone breaks and you loose those images forever, even if you do print them out they tend to be of lower quality and will not last a lifetime, meaning you have no memories in print to show your children.

As a photographer it is my job to produce beautiful creative images of your children that you will be proud to hang on your wall, images of high quality that you can pass down from one generation to the next knowing they will look as crisp and sharp as the day they were printed.
I believe a photograph should tell a story and my aim is to create exclusive beautiful pieces of art that you and your family will treasure forever
    .
My fine Art Portrait Package consists of :

A photoshoot on location in a relaxed and playful atmosphere where your children can be themselves without feeling rushed and uncomfortable
    .
Use of props and outfits where applicable, I feel outfits play a big part in the style of my photography so I always aim to provide these if it is possible, otherwise I will advise you on what outfits will work.

my time editing your images, your images will of course be beautiful straight out of camera but I take the extra time to make them look amazing.

10 - 20 HQ Finished images on a beautiful wooden USB memory stick., with full printing rights.

Printed 6x4 lustre copies of all of your image beautifully presented in a high quality luxury wooden keepsake box.

you can have all this for the amazing price of just £295, that's less than £15 per image! and what's more, there is no hidden sitting fee like you find with most other photographers and I am confident that you will not find the same quality package anywhere cheaper locally.

If you choose me to create these beautiful images for you and your family I am certain you will love the results and I look forward to working with you.

    Hi Keaky,

Does your daughter have a website? I assume that is where they are making an request, which is what you are responding to with this letter - correct? If so, what type of response or message are they sending to initiate this response?

In the letter you mention the "portrait photography package". Do you give them a link to schedule their session and/or select their options? You definitely need a very specific call-to-action, letting them know what to do next and how to do that.

Lynn was right! It would be better if you have website wherein you can show your previous projects, price for every package that you offer, short biography of you and your contact information where they can message you. It is very convenience than writing them letter.

She has an established business with a website (new website is being built), these request from people mostly come through her Facebook page and generally all they say is how much they love her work and how much it is, she has a lot of photos of previous work for them to see and her work is very popular (lots of interaction on her page), the problem is when we tell them how much they don't seem interested in parting with their money, even when she did a very low price offer, its like they do not value photography so are not seeing the worth in it, but those people continue to follow her page and say how much they would love a shoot, we are just trying to get across to them why its worth the cost and hope they will stop constantly thinking about it and book her x

Definitely keep that engagement going! Having the audience is key, and is something most business owners are trying to achieve. So you're in a good position. Post some great informational updates frequently, such as real information comparing image quality, photo print quality, a comparison chart on photo printing options, etc. Educating your market is KEY.

Obviously you'll really want to play up the big life events: graduation, wedding, family reunions, births, etc.

Make sure you give them a price, payment options, and a link so they can choose a date and/or select options and get a booking - while you have their interest. ;-)

Thank you Lynn, at the moment she takes a deposit from them and then the balance is due to be paid 24 prior to the shoot, do you think offering a payment plan is a good idea ?

Are most of the Facebook Fans local - meaning, her ideal clients to schedule a shoot?

A deposit is great, but I generally pay after seeing the proofs - based on the package I want.
