    Hello all,

I don't know you you guys remember me or not, but I'm back yet again.

This time I'm getting into web design. I have a friend that doesnt design and programming and he says that I have the skills to get into it so, he is giving me a lot of help.

I'm hoping that their are a few web designers here because I'm hoping for a review of a website I'm building.

Please be kind, my confidence is still fragile lol.

This is the website I'm redoing. (This is theirs, not mine lol)

This is my design for the site.

I've shown it to friends and family and they all love the site, but it is helpful to get outside opinions.

    Thanks guys!

Welcome back! Great to see you again.

I'm off to host Brainstorming Hour, but I look forward to the feedback you get here - and taking a look myself. *cheers*

My biggest issue, on both sites, is that I have no idea what the site is about - or who it's for. Not knowing what CARNGC is or means, and with no real description, I have to assume it's something I'm not a part of and shouldn't look at. Is the site specifically for users that already know what it means?

    I agree with you.

Their site has very little content of any kind.

I had to do my own research just to find the description that I put in my redo.

I can't get any more information yet as I haven't actually pitched the site to them yet.

As for your question. I get the feeling that the site should be trying to pull in interest. After all, many of their links have to do with raising awareness of different issues.

I'm seeing the same site on both links. I would love to see what you are doing. I'm not a designer, but I love to garden and that looks like a gardening site.

That would be a great goal then, to better define their positioning, how they want to frame themselves to the people they want to attract, and a better "draw in" for new visitors.

    Hi All!

The site was a gardening site. Ranger is my son . . . hello son! Lol! . . . and at the time of this post, he was randomly selecting sites that looked like they might need an overhaul. He pitched his ideas to them, but they never did get back to him.

He has since pitched ideas to a couple of martial arts sites, one online and one a local school. Both picked him up on his ideas. With the first, it was a case of tweaking the site. He was paid for his efforts. Possibly not what he was worth, but hey, he got paid! With the local school's site, he's getting paid with free lessons. He did a complete overhaul of the site, Built it from the ground up and I edited the content. The owner of the school was so happy with his work, she promptly dropped the outfit she'd been working with and hired him. So he's finally got a start on a portfolio.

I've been using the Weaver Pro theme for Wordpress someone here or in the Elite forum had recommended to me. I used to build my own sites back in the day, but I quit doing it because I loved it too much. Lol. Wasn't getting much writing done. I'm hoping he'll have time to create a site for me for either the author sites or the publishing one. We'll see. But I thought I'd post and let you all know what he's up to.

I've let him know he's got replies here. So maybe he'll log on at some point.
