Finding a Niche to Campaign

Hello All SSWT members,
I would like to know how you find a niche market to campaign. I know some people would go and check the bookstore such as Dummies.com store to get some ideas. Then go to Google to find out if there are a lot of people talk about it and pay ads there. Next, go to EZineArticle to see if many people write article(s) about that niche.

What is your best method(s) to find a niche?
