    Default Anyone Use WordPress Direct

Does anyone use WordPress Direct and if so, is it worthwhile and would it be helpful to someone who does not know what she is doing?

I already have my blog up on WP.org but am stumped as to a lot of the details, and how to fix some mess-ups.

    Thanks!

Barbara - I have a WordPress Direct site from last year's 30DC. Honestly, it's really just plain 'ol WordPress at the core, with a separate admin area for the WPD part of it that does not necessarily make anything easier to use, it just gives you another area to log into.

I have some free WordPress tutorials on my Genesis Blogging web site; depending on what issue you're having, one of those may help you.

Feel free to post any specific problem you're having and we can try to help.

For the cost of WPD, you could hire a VA to do blog work for you and come out ahead on cost. Just a thought, in case you did not want to deal with learning WordPress.

Barbara wordpress.org is the self-hosted part of WordPress no hosting is done on the site. You could have a blog on wordpress.com(if you do and are trying to monetize it, stop and get a web host as the Wp.com TOS(Terms of Service) bans doing such I would suggest HostGator for hosting and investing in Traci's "Beginner to Blogger" course

Thanks NAR321. I already have my blog on WP.ORG and use Hostgater and I have Traci's blogging course (which is very good). It is the techie stuff I'm having problems with. I think I will take Traci's suggestion and try a VA or may just drop the idea of a blog altogether - perhaps try XSite Pro if I could scrape the money together for it. I'm losing too much time.

What tech issues you having issues with caraex? If you post a specific issue/problem, we can better help you.

WordPress blogs are very search engine friendly - and if you have one already setup, would hate to see you scrap that and start over with something else; because every site has a certain amount of tech stuff that goes with it.
