Thread: Probably switching to aweber - any downsides?

Default Probably switching to aweber - any downsides?

My current autoresponder service is going to start charging for "premium support" (a monthly fee that for me would more than double my cost). Free support will consist of the knowlegebase and email support with a 1-3 day response time.

I haven't needed support for a long time, but it irks me that they're doing that so I'm thinking of switching to aweber. I know aweber is highly recommended, but I'm curious if anyone has anything they dislike about their service.

I'm not too concerned about the need for my subscribers to opt-in again. The lists I'm marketing to right now aren't that big yet.

Any other recommendations for an autoresponder service with similar pricing (I've already looked at GetResponse)?

    Thanks in advance.

No downsides to Aweber that I have found.

I really don't know about any other autoresponders. That stinks that they will start charging for support like that.

I don't have any complaints with Aweber.

There was a glitch today with emails getting hung and not going out immediately, but something like that is SO rare with them, and of course it's already resolved.

No, Linda, aweber is top of the line, with current information and tutorials always accessible and easy to follow. I haven't needed to use their support yet. (my lists are still in infancy!)

Only down side I could see for you is I don't think there's any way of 'transferring' your current subscribers into your Aweber account.

From a subscriber point of view, if I'm enjoying being on a list, I don't mind at all when someone asks me to opt-in again due to switching services.

    Best, Mary
