    Default Wordpress 2.8.4 Questions

Can anyone tell me where the page and post ID numbers are in 2.8.4? I want to exclude certain pages from the top nav, but I can't find the page ID's.

Why do pages have a comment box, but posts say "Comments #" and you have to click this to leave a comment? Is there some way to change this?

How do I change my post browser title at the top? It says Home right now.

I've been reading at wordpress.org for hours, but they don't seem to update anything there when they update wordpress.

    Thanks

When you're looking on the screen that lists your posts, roll over one of them and look at the URL you see at the bottom of the page. The numbers on the end are your page id.

Regarding page titles, if you use the All in One SEO plugin you can change a number of things including the title. You can create a custom title that will show up at the top of the page in your browser but won't change what you see in your navigation. (for example: page name is "services", but custom title is "Web Design Services for Small Businesses")

    Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot, Lisa. I was about to start pulling out my hair.

I installed All in one SEO, but can't seem to make it change my home page. I filled in the boxes, but nothing changes.

Is this the best SEO plugin available?

Thanks Paul! One squirrel going up!

The description changes, the keywords changes, but the title of the home page is still "Home."

Hope the squirrel does the trick!

    Stephen,
Do you mean in your navigation, where it reads
Home About Life Change Principles ?

If so you probably have to change it either in the theme options (if there is a theme options section in your admin dashboard) or in one of the theme files. Often the nav menu is in the header.php file.
