Default Teleseminar Report coming soon - what are YOUR questions?

I'm planning on writing up a free report this week to promote my Teleseminar Formula course, and give affiliates a tool to use as a rebrandable PDF.

As I get ready to pull it together from some of the elements of my course, I thought it might be fun to see what the forum here could come up with.

    What I'm looking for is:

    1) if you have not done a teleseminar yet, why not?

    2) if you have done a teleseminar, but you haven't done them lately, why not?

    3) if you have done teleseminar recently, what's been your biggest challenge?

    4) what other questions about teleseminars, and how they can help your business grow, would you like to see me answer in this report?

This report will be something affiliates can give away free to their list, and will lead into a free into at my site TeleseminarFormula.com. I'm giving away module 1 (MP3 audio and ebook) of my 8 module course. People have the choice of upgrading for the entire course (video, audio, ebook/transcripts) for $497, or the ebook/transcripts (with screenshots) for $197 (this is currently $97 for a few more weeks).

So ideally, this report will have the right answers to the questions you are asking here to result in better conversions for my affiliates.

I appreciate your answers to one of the questions above!

    Thanks,

    Bob Jenkins

Hey Bob- I have been tinkering with doing a teleseminar vs webinar for some time. so I'll take a shot at your questions below:

    1) if you have not done a teleseminar yet, why not?

    a. I think the biggest thing holding me back is the fear of getting people to register- I still have a very tiny email list.

    b. Narrowing a topic- how do you narrow exactly what to cover in the teleseminar (especially since I would be more interested in providing content then doing interviews)

    c. Writing the sales copy/format is also tricky to me- if I had a blank and blank template I think I would feel more comfortable.

    2) if you have done a teleseminar, but you haven't done them lately, why not?

Carrie Wilkerson had me do a spotlight Webinar in one of her classes, and I was amazed that I covered Affiliate Program Management for an hour and half and people found it useful.

    3) if you have done teleseminar recently, what's been your biggest challenge? n/a

    4) what other questions about teleseminars, and how they can help your business grow, would you like to see me answer in this report?

How do you know when to charge- where is the "free line" with teleseminars? I know Don Crowther said 50 minutes of telling and 10 minutes of sellin... but again- you have to have a systematic strategy that covers the content you will cover in a free teleseminar and move them into a paid teleseminar on the same topic but figuring out the exact details of content to cover is where I get hung up and overwhelmed.

I'm such a checklist type of person

    Hope that helps a little...

That does help, Kristen. Thanks a lot!

    A couple quick answers here:

Registrations: teleseminars can still be made into products even if nobody shows up; and the resulting recording is likely to be a good opt-in list builder.

Narrowing the topic: remember that the teleseminar you do won't be your last one.

Template: I'm sensing this would be a popular request.

Carrie's webinar: sounds like you have a topic already, you can be more general or more specific on your own call. And webinars are teleseminars, with a little added flavor.

Selling: it needs to feel natural to you and your audience, a logical next step. That doesn't have to come during the call. It can come on the download page next to the call, or in the autoresponder follow up.

I do have a Teleseminar Formula blueprint - it's a mindmap of the entire process I layout in the course. I will be including a scaled down version in this report for the basics of the first teleseminar.

    Thanks Kristen!

    Thanks Bob.

Timing is everything- I actually have been helping some girlfriends start blogs to grow their MLM business and they have about 1000 women in their downline and I was thinking about using this strategy to offer them a Blogging 101 intro that they could offer their downline and then upsell them into a four week course where we go through the entire build a blog process.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe I'll get up the courage to make it happen now
