On tweeting and twittering

As the iphone ad says there is an app for that. Say you like Wine it would give you fellow wine lovers twitter handles with the ability to follow as many or few that you care to. I don't remember it's actual name as I haven't used it for awhile. Do a google search for "locate like minded twitters I can follow"

VERY COOL! I downloaded the app onto my itouch just last night- haven't even looked at it yet.

BTW, do people prefer tweetdeck or Power tweet (the add on for Firefox). Note that the latter will not work on the itouch, but the former (I think) has an app.

And what does sync between computers in Tweetdeck mean?

I use & love TweetDeck. Syncing between computers is cool but I haven't used it yet. I use a desktop and 2 laptops, so it means your groups & columns and all that will work the same across your different systems.

You can also add yourself to wefollow and then use the tags to find other people with the same interests (ordered by number of followers or by most influential - although I am not sure exactly what that means or how they calculate it!)

You can also just use wefollow without adding yourself if you prefer..

So for example for the tag wine you get:
http://wefollow.com/twitter/wine

You can also retweet (RT) useful and interesting tweets from other people by adding RT @theirtwitterusername at the beginning - people willl often thank (and follow you) when you do this.

I use Tweetie2 on the iPhone.

If I ever get tweetdeck or tweetglide set up with groups, I will install it on the iPhone also.
