WordPress Theme Question/Survey

Hi Good Folks!

I'm getting ready to set up a new WordPress site in the Internet Marketing world (yup, another among the millions) and I'm looking at various Themes.

I've looked into Thesis,Headway and Vigilance for starters.

I'm wondering what Themes you guys are using and why you chose them.

Lynn, What theme is Clicknewz? - I didn't see it listed anywhere.

My theme is a custom design.

Prior to this design, I was using the PressCut Theme, which is related to the Cutline Theme.

Excellent! Me too. I have a house full of sick people now.

A quick profile question: I've uploaded a profile pic, but can't seem to get it to show up. It's resized to 100x100 and is around 23k.

It shows up in my profile, but not in my posts.

Any ideas?

You need both a profile pic AND an avatar - they can be the same. The avatar is what shows up on your posts.

I am currently using Cutline theme in my WP blog but have been looking around at other themes. I purchased Thesis because I understand that it is killer for SEO and super customizable.

I installed it and started playing around but quickly ran into a speed bump. In order to change the header, Thesis uses something called "hooks" which I have never heard of.

I like Thesis, but earning this "hooks" thing looks like another time suck which I don't need right now. I'll be sticking with my old theme for a while.

Anyone have any experience with Thesis and "hooks"?

If I remember right Steve, I watch a video on the Thesis homepage that included info about hooks.
