    You're welcome

I'm probably more about "out-tasking" and haven't quite mastered the full-on virtual team & project manager aspects of outsourcing... but I'm working on it.

One thing that has worked really well for me is to organize and prioritize my task list, then before I begin I pluck out everything that could be done by someone else and send that off - then I start at the top of the remaining list of tasks.

I absolutely love the people I am working with right now, for a variety of tasks & projects - they truly make my life so much easier!!

Outsourcing is all the rage lately. I think it is very powerful and useful for sure, But, I think someone needs to do all the work in there business or the first year or two themselves and then look at outsourcing if it warrants it. Think of the first year or two as an apprenticeship which you may not get rich and not be ultra efficient using leverage but you will learn the ropes through doing it all yourself.

One of my coaches told me to not buy another expensive IM product, instead hire an employee. I would say it was good advice. I have not oursourced yet and have not bought any more expensive IM products. Actually, once I found SSWT and the Elite SSWT, I am getting everything I need here.

I agree Steve. During those 2 years you will begin to realize which tasks that you simply do not enjoy doing. That knowledge will help streamline your outsourcing or "out tasking."

It's a great learning time. Celebrate it for what it is.

Hi Chris. I learned about outsourcing when I read "The 4-Hour Work Week" and "The World Is Flat". I think those two books helped to push it to the mainstream of IM.

I definitely don't think it is a fad although using it effectively is a bit of a learning curve. I know there are people who outsource just about everything they can. I like to use outsourcing for many of my technical issues; webpage design, logos, coding, etc. but you can find everything from Admin Support to Personal Shoppers. The uses are limitless.

I have a few sites I use personally that I have found very helpful. Send me a message if you would like the links.

I agree with this ideal of doing it all in the beginning to learn how things actually work. This may take time but if you expect to get rich quick, well you know where that goes. I don't necessarily mean learning to code, design graphics etc. but all else that is involved in building the business. I think Lynn's model of starting with one niche, make it show a return, then doing another and another. Sort of a cookie cutter approach? I don't know, I'm still learning myself.
Once you have a few in place, then start looking for ways to reduce your load and be more efficient through outsourcing. I too have been researching how and what to outsource, mainly writing and content development, but have yet to go down that 'long and winding' road yet.
