Thread: event calendar plug-in

    Default event calendar plug-in

Okay guys, my niche market has a lot of events that happen to meet the needs of that market and I want to be a central location where people can find information about those events. I typed in event calendar in the wordpress plugin search and it gave me a ton of options. So, again I call on the wisdom of the mastermind group is there one that you use and would recommend or even at best one that you would suggest that I avoid?

Or, just thinking content, would I be better served to make a post about each event? Mind you in the month of November 2009 there are at least 24 events that I know of already nationwide.

You might consider the Google Calendar - which you can add to a page on your WordPress blog. Then yes, write posts about the events and link to the calendar as well as the event site.

Lynn would I use a google plug-in for wordpress to get google calendar for my wordpress and then create a page and add it to that page?

Sorry about the double post when I posted the first time, I didn't see the "moderator" information and thought I've for got to hit post.

So, I created a page, I embedded a google calendar into it, I posted an event to it to make sure that it was working (it is!!) I'm working on a post about the event that I created and have what may appear a simple/stupid question. In my post I want to put something like: "for more information about this and other similar events click here" and have the link got to the page on my website....right?

Right - exactly I don't use a plug-in either. I was able to just paste the code for the Google Calendar right into a WP page:

Mine is a bit empty at the moment
