Not sure if this site is listed in this thread (don't have time to check right now) so just in case, I just stumbled on this one:

    http://www.clker.com/

Found a great little monkey clip art for my newest letter!

Everyone, thank you so much for sharing!

I am brand new, less than a month old, at this and I love this forum already!

I was on the internet b4 it was known as such but over the years [yeah I know don't tell me about all the lost opportunities] I fell away... well I am BACK & I just know I am going to LOVE this forum! I promise to contribute whenever I can! First thing I have to do is put it on my RSS reader so I don't miss a minute!

    Thanks again!

I just came across this site recently(well, I lie, a client of mine actually found it for me.lol) But I thought I would share it with you. Some people may not like it or it may not provide enough, I like to mix it up with microsoft.com and their clipart/pics stuff that is also free to use as long as you are not trying to make money from it.

Here is one that someone else has mentioned before but I don't see it listed here.
The below site doesn't have an s on the end so I corrected it and it will now take you to this sight.

    Hi everyone:

I am kicking myself I didn't make note of this earlier so here is a misfiring memory trying to recap what I am looking for. Someone mentioned a link to a program/software/tool? that helped you optimize images for a webpage. I have tried searching for it to no avail. Does anyone remember the post or know what I am trying to explain? I wanted to add it to my Ready...Set...Get Going! e-tip this week (along with credit to the SSWT member who had what sounded like a nifty tip.

    Many thanks

    Michèle

If you are taking your own photos, this link might be something to check out. (And those who dabble in Ebay will LOVE this...) It is a great post with pics and instructions on making your own light box to take professional looking images. Store bought light boxes can cost well over $100 dollars U.S.

I made this (slightly modified it for my use) and the results are stellar!

    Peace,

    Roey.

For those that use istockphoto.com do you find an image you like and then choose the size? When I go to an image it ends up on large every time but I can choose the x small one instead right? I really have no clue how to really tell what the actual size is going to be before I buy it, is there any way to see that other than just the size?

I'm so bad when it comes to techy stuff so any help would be appreciated. If you have used a certain size istock image on your blog posts or site and could show me an example that would be great.

Does it help to remember that a thumbnail in a WordPress blog is 150 x 150?

    Maggie,
That would be about the size of a button one would normally use to advertise something right? So these x small images would be pretty big or no?

    I feel silly LOL
