Disqus - Blog Commenting Platform?

Hi everyone -
I am looking for feedback on a blog commenting platform called "Disqus".

Many bloggers are using Disqus for their comments now, and I like the idea of it. I like that all of my comments from all over the web can be accessed from one location. It has a real "social media" feel to it. Commenters can easily log in using their facebook or twitter profiles. They can leave trackbacks to their site.

One aspect of Disqus is that the comments are "nofollow" which means that the blog commenter is not gaining a link back to their site by commenting. They would have to select the option to leave a trackback.

I am wondering if any of you have feelings about it one way or another.

What do you think??

Hi Jen,

I use Dissqus on one of my blogs: All About The Energy and love it for all the reasons you described.

It really does have that "social media" feel to it.

As I get ready to put up a blog in the IM space, I wonder about the "no follow" link part of Disqus.

I'll be interested to see others comments.

Seems counter productive a comment system that doesn't allow "follow"
