I like MS Project. I have not used it in years, yet it is very powerful and adjusts all critical paths that are linked when one is changed.. Has resource mapping and all kinds of cool stuff like that.

I know this doesn't help you now, but apparently Google Wave is going to be "all that" and more! I can't wait to get a glimpse of it, myself.

I have heard wonderful things about basecamp, but haven't used it myself. That is what my friends are using and they love it.

    I hope this helps you!

Ive also heard good things about basecamp, but use MS project. Is it just for you or for a team? I have looked at Phprojekt in the past and just looking at it it looks to have moved on some since then - but it was more than I eeded at the time.

I think Basecamp might be the most well-used PM Software As A Service app. I thought I needed PM software and found Harvest for tracking time and it turned out that was all I needed. I think their data can get pulled into Basecamp. Harvest has an affiliate program (fyi).

Heard about basecamp when I came across this list recently:
50 Essential Web Apps for Freelancers:
    http://web.appstorm.net/roundups/fre...r-freelancers/

They recommend a few others but they seemed to think basecamp was the best: "Despite a lot of other sites copying their style, 37signals still lead the way in the project management space. Basecamp is simply the best application to manage your work. With a focus on simplicity and communication, it’s an enjoyable tool to use.

Ad with so many other web based applications integrating with Basecamp, it doesn’t appear that it’ll be knocked off its perch anytime soon.

A year ago basecamp didn't have a way to track time and my clients had me tracking time in another program. Not sure if that has changed, but that was a horrible pain in the bootie.

I've been using http://www.myclientspot.com/ for over 9 months and have been very happy with it. It as a free trial and pricing starts at $15 a month. That's not my affiliate link, but I do have one of those as well

Holy cow! That link above that points to the list of 100 programs is incredible.

I can only add two things to that list, both of which I've not used:

    TeamBox
    Open Workbench

I use BaseCamp and love it! But I also haven't used any others so I can't really compare it.
