    Arrow Do you like TweetGlide?

I just signed up to Tweetglide last night and think it is pretty cool.

I like the colorful look and grouping as well as the ability to post ads.

I think it will be popular an it is pretty cool that it complies with the FTC regulations for posting ads on twitter that starts on December 1st this year.

    What do you think?

I think Bob gave a pretty appropriate review at his blog

I don't like mixing ads with Twitter and it wouldn't be something that I would use, but may be good for someone starting out.

I don't know how I feel about their mix up of ads and tweeting yet, and I haven't downloaded the app yet. I did have a bit of fun with their name on my blog today though (http://easywahmwebsites.com/441/what...-web-goodness/)

    Scott,

I think it is pretty cool.
Bob The Teacher does belong to TweetGlide as I do.
It is free to sign up, and is targeted to marketers.
I suggest people sign up and see how they like it.
Mike has 7 full time employees working on improving it and the customer experience as well as the iPhone application.

Tweetglide has a downline of 4 or 5 levels for getting credit on those that sign up under you for every tweet they send out.
It is in beta, and I think it is a good idea to sign up now, get a few folks on your down line and then if it really takes off, we will be in a better position than those that join later.

I like the concept. I do have some problems with Adobe air applications on my computer as I find most Adobe applications seem to hog some memory.
Personally I think it is a good idea, yet I still like using Twitter from the Web or iPhone rather than from a special application like Tweetglide or Tweetdeck. I would love to have a special group set up for Lynn's Elite group and my best twitter buddies, yet I find that I just go to their page and see what's up. I may try setting up a group and see how it goes and let you know what I think.
I also like to look at the twitter page of new followers and so far I have found it that easy to do on any of the applications I have found so far.

I really can't stand ads personally and feel that it would only be a distraction to me.

I have not clicked on any of the Tweetglide ads yet. I have read them all though.

My Twitter stream is filled with Ads and as of December 1st I am pretty sure each tweet with an affiliate link will need to say sponsored tweet to comply with the FTC ruling.

TweetGlide is an interesting concept with Coach Deb and Joel Comm who have the two best selling books on Twitter both support it.

As for ads, I fast forward through the ads on TV. Yet I do click through on some on Twitter. I am actually making more money on Twitter than anywhere else right now. It is usualy with people that know, like and trust me rather than random folks.

Do you have anything to back this up? From what I've read I don't agree with that... but I'm open to reading up more if there is new material I haven't seen yet.

So what you are saying is that you like tweetglide, yet you haven't clicked on any ads yet? Do you think others are doing exactly the same thing and not clicking?

I too am making money through Twitter. But like I said, I'd rather not have ads distracting me. It's just not my thing. Some people won't mind seeing the ads and if it gives them more exposure that's great. It really won't change the way someone uses Twitter which is great and probably why Coach Deb would have no problem promoting it.

Did you notice that Mike also promoted Quan$ite recently

I edited my comment above to add additional commentary and have it be less promotional.

I heard about the December 1st. implementation and identifying affiliate links on Twitter on a teleconference yesterday with a social media guru in San Diego.

Before yesterday all I heard was from another Social Media guru in San Diego that suggested putting a note on your Twitter home page indicating that some links are affilaite links.

Scott, good point about the cross promotion.
