Thread: Has Your Pagerank Updated Yet?

  1. Default Has Your Pagerank Updated Yet?

I just had one of my sites go through an Pagerank update today, but my other sites have not seen an increase yet. I'm wondering if those other sites just didn't increase because they are still at the same level, or Google has yet to evaluate them.

Have all of your sites seen an update yet? I wonder how long it will take to get through all websites.

    Cheers!

I started a whole bunch of sites in the past two months and none of them are above PR0.
I am expecting it will take quite a while for them to grow to a PR1.

Anyone know how long it may take? If you are blogging every day, adding different content (PDF, video, images, and text)?
I'm not in a rush for PageRank, because I can see the traffic increasing with Google Analytics. And traffic is what I want - ultimately PR doesn't matter unless it brings lots of traffic, right?

Toolbar PageRank (TBPR) only updates a few times a year - 3 or 4 at the most I believe. So your new sites can easily go from PR0 to PR3 in an update to the toolbar. TBPR doesn't reflect actual PageRank.

My page rank went down from 1 to 0 checked it at prchecker and also in the tool bar. It was PR1 last week and PR3 last year.
    That is for ClayFranklin.com
    Wondering...
I have more ads, I added do follow, I changed from http://clayfranklin.com to http://www.clayfranklin.com, I added more links, I added more content, Added more videos, added internal links, Traffic is up, I rank well in search for my blog post titles, even for "Lynn Terry SSWT Elite" Ranked #1 double listing (cached on 10/28) I like the search results better than PR yet would like to have a high PR.

I am not sure why the PR is changing right now, yet Google is readjusting the way they report search results called the Caffeine update.

If you search on http://www2.sandbox.google.com you can get a preview of how the search results will change over the next few weeks and months.

The Page Rank for my websites are still the same, but I've also been hearing about changes in Google's algorithm recently. I'm continuing all optimization efforts and hopefully get better results soon.

While I give up on the green bar syndrome it doesn't mean I don't follow it. I've had big followings on sites/blogs and pr0 and other sites with less following with PR3, it's obvious that PR has no bearing on actual traffic and sales on your site, but it's something we can't get out of our heads. lol

PR truly doesn't mean much. Work on your keywords and your traffic will be there.

Couldn't agree more with you busymomma.

For me though, a couple of my businesses run paid advertisements, and the PR definitely has an effect on how much I am able to charge.
