    Default Lost my Header when Upgrading To Thesis 1.6

    Hi all !

    WP Thesis Theme 1.5 upgrade to 1.6 was a success per message I got in my Admin dashboard, but I lost my header during the process...pffff...

    My blog (http://www.janicedugas.com) is now headerless!

    Gee wiz.. :-(

    Anyone has advice as to what I should do to get it back on ?

    Thanks in advance!

    Desperate...

    In the meantime, I will type a BLOG TITLE and a TAGLINE in the General Settings
    in the WP-Admin area, to at least have something showing up.

    The header I had was a psd file.

    And now, with the new designs options brought with the upgrade, I cannot see where the layout.css or stylesheet is located.

    pffff..

    Google hold a record of web pages- the word cached - means that's when the spiders came around a took a"picture" so to speak of it.
    since it hadn't been too long since you changed i simply did a search in google with the words
    site:janicedugas.com
    then I clicked on the link where it says cached in the google results.
    The older web page came up. I right clicked the image and selected view image.
    that gave me the url of the image. Hope that helps
    All the best,
    Eren

    Thanks Eren for the explanation. Great!

    I tried to paste the code to the header image path into the custom.php file of Thesis but with no success.

    After surfing on Internet & Thesis for help, finally downloaded the
    Thesis Open Hook plugin to ease the process.

    But still, did not succeed.

    Grrrrr.....

    Gives me this error on top of home page!

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/janicedugas.com/wp-content/plugins/thesis-openhook/functions.php(223) : eval()'d code on line 11

    Any clue? to what I am doing wrong ?

    pffff...

    (would prefer spend time on the November challenge instead !!!)

    Merci beaucoup and have a great day.

    Dunno my friend.
    Personally when a plugin gives me issues I delete that thing!! Usually it stops giving me errors after deleting.You need to make sure that your header space is the right size for the image or else it won't fit.
    the header size can be configured in the style.css file.
    Just go in an look for your header code and make it like this
    #header {
    width: 960px;
    height: 200px;
    (This is the size of your header.)
    Make those changes, save upload. Make sure you have your image uploaded to the right place
    hope that helps

    Interesting, never thought of reverting to a default theme. Some customized themes have a upgrade option, which in most cases lags behind any WordPress upgrades. This means you have to wait till they upgrade there Theme. Needless to say this is one of the cons of getting a customized theme.

    Did you check with the Thesis people before upgrading? What was the reason for upgrading? Doesn't this developer do upgrades to there Theme? How much help can you expect from your web host? Have you even checked with them?

    hmm have you had any luck getting support from the Thesis folks about it? Maybe stop by their support forum and see if anyone else has had the same or a similar problem.

    I've used this technique myself, but never for this kind of purpose. Great thinking, Eren. Kudos.
