Signature Length

I am trying to update my signature, and I keep getting this error message:

Your signature cannot be longer than 300 characters including BB code markup.

I counted my characters and I have less than 300: is there a bug? I see lots of people with signatures longer than want I want to update mine to, yet it won't accept mine. I've tried several times today with no luck

I changed my URL to bit.ly ones to fit.
