Alex, the thing that helps me stay focused is Lynn's elite group plus I chose one niche to really focus on although I do have other websites, I have found it's been better for me to get this one main one up and going and like Lynn says go from start to profit and then you can move on to other ideas.

You can post whatever you need help on here but remember it's an open forum so anyone will be able to see what you type. In the elite forum we work more closely and talk keyword phrases etc because it's the group is closed and not indexed by the search engines so we can work more freely in there.

Anyway, feel free to ask any questions you need help with here and we'll do our best to help. I don't know anything about PPC so I can't help in that aspect.

Wishing you the best building your business. Wedding photography sounds like an awesome business!

    Hey Alex,

You definitely want to stick to ONE thing. I don't subscribe to the idea of creating 10 websites in 10 niches all making low income. Not at all. I subscribe to the "choose one thing, and take it all the way from start to profit" idea.

    See: http://www.clicknewz.com/2147/best-i...usiness-model/

You definitely wan to start with keyword research, and market research, and map out a plan of action & profit for your website.

I think us "Alexs" should help each other!

One way of "nicheing down" is to focus on one type of camera or one type of photography or demographic.

Try to think what has made the most impact on clients over the years.

Is there any part of the process in which you have special knowledge or contacts?

    Why do you get recommended?

    :-)

Hard questions eh? But now is the best time to ask 'em.

Here is a link to help with keyword research - but you need to find your angle or hook or whatever word works best!!

    http://www.clicknewz.com/986/keyword...hes-is-enough/

    and there's also

    http://www.clicknewz.com/1822/market...inding-niches/

Boil it down to a simple phrase - maybe a tweet.

Then go looking for keywords that express the essence of that.

    I hope this makes sense!!

Keyword / market research is easy - it is this subtle choosing that happens before the research that is crucial.

Feel free to ramble back at me!

Great that you have a focus now! Well done! Good thing for a photographer to have eh?

Next is that you need a list of keywords to work with...

What keywords have you chosen? Because the choice there is plugging in to the traffic you want.

The traffic will come if you choose the right keywords

If you don't feel comfortable sharing your keywords in a public forum like this, perhaps think about joining the Private or Elite forum.

Do you want to put your URL here to get some specific comments and advice about improvements?

BTW there are no dumb questions!!

Lastly most questions are answered on http://www.clicknewz.com/ but keep asking here as much as you like!

    :-)
