1) I was tld when leaving blog comments, a good way to get the blog owner to accept your comment if you are trying to use your keywords in the name field, is to add your name at the end of keywords...for example if your keyword is 'Fly Fishing" Instead of just typing 'Fly Fishing' in the name field which looks like an abvious attempt at trying to leave a backlink, you can add your name, so it becomes, 'Fly Fishing Jim'. I just wanted to find out if that affects the keywords one is trying to rank for, so instead of it being 'Fly fishing' will Google see the anchor text as 'Fly Fishing Jim', or doesn't it matter if the name Jim is in there. Will google still see Fly Fishing as the keywords you are trying to rank for?
2) When creating a post title, let's say the keywords for that post is "Fly Fishing" but to make the post sound more interesting you title it "Expert Fly Fishing Tips". Will this affect the fact that you are trying to rank for the Keywords, "Fly Fishing" or doens't it matter, as long as the keywords you want to rank for are somewhere in the post title?
Well, I can't answer your specific questions, but as a blog owner, I take issue with using keywords in any form as your name in a comment. I think it's rude, because what you're saying is the only reason you're bothering to comment on my blog is to get a link back to yours.
If you want to use the name of your site in the name field, I think that's a lot more acceptable than using keywords.
This is just my personal opinion, though, so take it for what it's worth.
Keywords in the name field is a gigant red flag for me also. 98% chance that a comment on one of my blogs with obvious keywords get deleted straight away. 2% chance that I will check out the site if the URL isn't also obviously keywordstuffed - and then it's fifty-fifty if I'll approve the comment.
Bottomline (for me): Use a keyword stuffed name to a keyword stuffed URLs to no-content or obvious content-scraped sites with a generic comment like "good point - when will you write more like that" is a surefire way to never get a backlink from me.
Think of it the other way around - if it's behavior you would welcome on your own blog because it adds value for both you and your other visitors, then it's probably a behavior other site owners would welcome.
So how do you leave comments on a blog.....I really want to use my anchor text as the name, for the keyword I'm ranking for, but I know that looks spammy...so how do you go about it, while at the same time making it beneficial for your keyword ranking?
To me, blog commenting is not for link building, it's for relationship building. If you want to build links with anchor text, use article marketing. If you want to connect with other bloggers, get them to read (and link to) your blog, and get their readers to visit your site, then leave thoughtful comments on relevant blogs. The traffic will follow, it just takes a little longer. But then again, it's better traffic.
