I finally got my WP blog published and I have received 1 Comment. I have approved the comment but it does not show up on my blog. I have clicked on every thing I could find to no avail! What to do?? Thanks for any help!

Can you give a link to the post where the comment was supposed to appear?

Also, does this comment show up in your Approved Comments section in the WP admin panel?

How about a link to the exact post. You can get it from the Admin panel under Approved Comments. It links to the actual comment, and you can click through from there to view it.

Go to Approved Comments in your Wordpress admin panel. Right above the comment you're referring to should be a hyperlink to that comment on your blog...

No, I don't see a link. I may have messed everything up as I had a hard time figuring out how to "approve" the comment and roamed around all over the place clicking on every "approve" and I don't even remember now how I got it approved. So frustrating!

Under comments you should have 4 options:

    All | Pending | Approved | Spam

Under Pending is where you find comments pending your moderation. You mouse over them and it gives you the option to approve it, delete it, or report it as spam.

Yes that is what I did - several times. I'm giving up now and going to bed - maybe tomorrow will bring some lessening of my brain fog.

We had snow today - which is most unusual for the Houston area!

    Thanks Lynn!

    Hi Barbara,

I left you a comment so you can get more practice approving comments.
The other comment did show up when I arrived it was there.

I suggest you activate Akismet on your blog and not require approval of comments. The program will automatically hold spam comments from posting.
Once I said a good comment was spam and felt so bad. Now I just let the akismet manage all my comments and do not report any as spam. Post here is you need help. Just activate the plug in that is already in your blog. go to Wordpress and log in and get your wordpress key. enter it in the akismet where is says enter wordpress key and you are all set.
