Oh dear gods... I might have broken my site which runs on Flexibility theme and I don't look forward to re-configuring it a third time.
Here's what I've been struggling to figure out: how do you remove all the text and images in the "feature" section without breaking the site? See, I want to remove them but not put in anything yet. Commenting out everything apart from <div> tags seems to break the site.
I swear... this theme is really good but it gives me nightmares sometimes. I swear my eyes are going to turn bug-eyed sometime soon! ;D

If I understand you correctly, you can remove the "feature" section by going to your WP dashboard > Appearance > Flexibility Theme Options > Feature Area Settings > Display optional feature section below header > No.
You also have the option to display feature on home page only, home and posts, home, page, and posts, etc.
Yep, Andrea is correct - there is a place within the options for the theme to remove the featured section below the header. No need to get into the coding.
Ahhh Flexibility, it can be gold or a big 'ol headache! I use it in several places as well as on some client sites. Most times it works flawlessly (and yes you can easily edit a ton of the options by simply pointing and clicking in the options manager) but it almost caused me to slit my wrists on the last site (not really but really LOL).
I still don't know exactly what the issue was but it kept adding divs randomly when I would make a simple change (and not even a change in the place it would add the div mind you)...it did it when I made my first blog post! So my web guy @octane on Twitter came in and fixed it for me but it was a real pain. Other than that, I generally love it and love the easy options.
