    Default Aweber Webform Problems

This webform generator is confusing. I'm trying to use a form that says Follow The Arrow on top. I want to add text underneath. When I click edit header it erases Follow The Arrow. What am I doing wrong?

Where do I add links for my confirm and thank you pages? All I see is their premade ones. Do I need to make an already confirmed page? If so, where would I add this link?

    Thanks

By the way, here's my thank you page: http://catlovershopping.com/thankyou.htm Good enough?

Hey Rick - when you click to edit the header, just type in the words "Follow the Arrow" if that's what you want it to say. The arrow is still there, but you can edit the text to say whatever you want.

Yep, your thank you page is fine. Just insert the URL to that page in the appropriate place where it asks for your Thank You page URL.

I use Aweber's standard confirm page where it has audio telling folks to click the link in the email to confirm. I just use that one; but my own custom Thank you page.

Hey Traci - I don't get it. I'm trying to do it over. Before Load Template it looks like it does on top. After I load template the original text is missing. Is there any way to fix this?

Yep, click to edit the header area and type in the text you want. Not sure why the sample text disappears, but you can type it back in if that's the text you want.

Thanks, Traci, but I can't get it to work and I'm VERY frustrated. I think their webform generator sucks. I've been at it four hours and no form. I called Aweber. The woman said she saw the problem and would notify the tech people. Think I'll look for a service with a decent webform creator.

Did you try a different form - a different form theme I mean?

It's working for me, so maybe either try a different web browser or reboot your computer and try again.

I've tried 3 different browsers. I've tried over 20 forms. Text disappears. Header and colors disappear. Six hours going on one day to make a form is unacceptable.

Right now the webform graphic isn't even showing up at Aweber. It's just a horizontal line with no image.

Did Aweber respond to your tech issue yet? I'd be curious what they had to say about it. Their web form generator is new so I imagine they're still working out the bugs, and dealing with heavy user volume.

Lynn - Haven't heard anything, but they said it could take one day. Would you please look at the generic form I used and tell me what you think?

I'd like to change the background from the smoke white to the same color as the site background, but I can't figure out how. I'd like to also change the Name and Email to crimson.

    Thanks

I signed up and everything works. Never say never! I forgot to make a welcome message. Should I use html or just text?

I use plain text for my messages. If you create an HTML template to use for your newsletters and messages, include a plain text option as well so that people who can't view the HTML can still read your messages.

The box looks fine - I wouldn't worry with it too much if you're going to create a new form when they get the issue worked out. You will want to use a little copywriting there above the Name/Email fields to give them an incentive to subscribe.
