I'm glad I'm not the only one to prefer the older versions...

I have ben resolutely resisting my friend's efforts to get to upgrade

I'm open to persuasion Diana - what's better about Core FTP - I haven't heard of it?

I had some unsolvable problems with FileZilla once and switched over to a program called gftp. It's a secure ftp client meaning that one's login credentials are passed to the ftp server securily by being encrypted such that if anyone intercepts the traffic from me to the server they won't be able tell what I am sending.

gftp is really good...I'd say even better than FileZilla for my purposes but I think it's only available under Linux .

I should have known that you would have done a FireFTP tutorial and am sure it is just as complete as your "Beginner to Blogger" course is. Off to check the BtoB course to see if it is covered there or if I will have to click the hyperlink in order to learn more about it(FireFTP)

Thanks Diana - I like the new version of filezilla less than the old one so I'll check out Core.

I've been using CuteFTP for probably 10 years now and love it. Many bonus things about it and like the fact I can connect to different FTP sites and upload simultaneously.
