Default Connecting Facebook to WP Blog

Thanks to the forum I was able to quickly get an FB fan page up and running. I just have one more question. What would you recommend as the best app for feeding a WP blog into a fan page? Thanks.

Hi Constance, you can use the Notes features within Facebook to import your blog into a Notes tab. Or you can use the Networked Blogs app to publish your blog posts on your wall.

Thanks, as usual, Traci. And thanks Constance for asking.

I was just reading this thread and was wondering something. Do most of you have just on Facebook account or do you have a different one for your business side of things. I am just trying to understand the benefits of what you are discussing.
    Thanks for any help

Hi Gail - for me personally, I have my fan pages tied to my personal account. But for some of my clients, I create a persona account at Facebook and then create fan pages off that persona account. Because some of my clients want to 100% keep their personal FB profile separate from their business stuff.

While you can make others administrators of your fan pages, so they don't need to log in under your account - the initial setup does require access to the personal account to get the fan page setup.

So it's really up to you and how much you will be doing vs. having someone else handle for you; and if you want the fan page linked to your personal profile.

Thanks Traci and well explained so I guess it really is what you plan to do with your FB page and I don't really know yet. Still Learning and I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I just recently set up a professional FB account and friended all my professional friends and subscribers.

What would be the benefits of a FB fan page?

    Thanks!

How can I set up a facebook business account? It wants first and last name and I don't want my last name known.

Rick: use a pseudo name or persona. That's what I do for my clients. Just write down the name you use, the birthday you makeup and set it up like any other personal account. While you can technically create a fan page without an account; you will not be able to get a vanity URL without the fan page being attached to a personal account. I can also see FB changing their policy on even creating one at all without a person account.

Now let me state, that technically, 'fake' accounts are not allowed on FB. However, if this is a persona that I am controlling, then it's me, under a different name. Since my purposes are honest and genuine, in that I'm not a spammer, then I create the pseudo account and use that.

Thanks, Traci. I tried to set one up First Name: Rick - Last Name: Cat Lover shopping.

It said last name too many capitals. I'm afraid I don't understand Facebook any better than I do Twitter.
