Question When Does Wordtracker Update, How Often?

    Hey, guys:

Am wondering how often (and when) does Wordtracker update, the free version?

I think i've noticed more updates lately, or maybe not. I usually use the Google Keyword Tool, but since Lynn highly recommends Wordtracker, I've started using it more.

Also why does Lynn prefer it over the GKT? I keep wondering this.

I think Lynn feels that Free Wordtracker is more consistent and does not inflate the numbers. I have not noticed any big changes and I am not sure how often they update.

I have also noticed some dramatic changes - but I can attribute those to including the Christmas holidays in the search numbers. So, if your keywords would have been something that people searched for in December, I would think you would be seeing higher search numbers.

Call me obsessive, but I use both tools. I'll usually create a spreadsheet that starts from exporting Google's list, eliminate the undesirables, then start adding the more interesting Wordtracker numbers in column. I often find words on one list and not the other (both ways). I take all with a certain grain of salt, of course. I don't for a minute believe either is really all that accurate. They're just the best thing we've got to go on and good for comparisons. You want to use the word with the highest number that may have beatable competition.

Hmmm, this is a good question. I never really thought about how often it updates, I just assumed every 30 days.
