It would seem to me that it would be beneficial ? to have it in name and profile so as to reinforce the domain name....and more likely they would click on it?
Doesn't it help with Google the more times it is seen ?
Thanks Jackie. and yes, I do understand that its to meet likeminded people...socially.
From what I learned at NAMS3 is its 80% social, 20% marketing......the social I know how to do...the marketing part...I need to learn.
Because if some people want to find me in other places, or more of me, rather than in 140 words or less, i want them to know how to find me.
It just might be my future best friend
for sure you want them to be able to find you ~ you will tweet links to your site, links to your other stuff ~ as well as non marketing stuff. And if they want to know more about you they will click your profile and click your url. It's cool when you get in there and see yourself doing exactly what you want other people to do ~ that's when it all clicks together and gets really fun.
You know, one thing that has hit me recently about the true power of Twitter?
Your network.
If you are a good person, and tweet a variety of things about your life, your knowledge, your favorite products, and your business, people will know you as a person, and they'll grow to like you and remember you. Then - when they need something or want to learn something or a friend wants a contact in some industry - who do they go to??
The people in their Twitter stream!!
So - there is no direct correlation for me between Tweets and Money. But the overall impact of Twitter on my life and my business has been overwhelmingly positive.
I know this has been a little off-topic. But it is important - especially when you're new to Twitter. Good luck to you! You sound like you're on the right track.
Have fun!
I actually have two different twitter accounts because I will be interacting with different groups of people. One is pambrechlin which I use for IM and personal posts. The other is apainintheheel for my niche blog. and it is the name of my domain.
