So you have the Gravatar account set up, now all you have to do is start commenting on blog posts. Every time you comment, if gravatar is enabled on that blog, your gravatar will show up instead of a default icon, or blank image. If you want to enable gravatars on your blog, you can go to the admin area > Settings > Discussion > >Avatars, and choose Gravatar.
As far as setting it up on my blog, when I go to the Avatars section, do I set the default Avatar or something else. I have Show Avatars enabled. And then there is the default avatar setting. The gravatar option for the default avatar says Gravitar Logo.
A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an 80×80 pixel avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Avatars help identify your posts on web forums.
