Default How do you do press release?

I understand what a press release is in the offline world. I have done them for years. What is a PR online and who do you send it to?

Stephen, that's actually a great question. Here's the answer: When you submit your press releases to online press release distribution services, this allows your releases to be indexed by search engines like Google, as well as being sent to mega-popular news sites like Google News and Yahoo! News.

Your release is also placed into RSS feeds with hundreds of thousands of subscribers which include bloggers and journalists.

In addition, submitting your press releases to press release distribution services helps you build backlinks and inbound links from quality, relevant websites. All of this helps drive traffic to your website, by making it easier to find you.

I hope I've answered your question, my friend.

If you go to prlog.org they have tutorials that show you how to do it. It is a little different format than articles marketing, but once you get used to it find a template you like it is very easy.
