Default Quick - which flip camera to buy?

Edited after posting: I should NOT have said flip camera. What I meant was one of those little mini's. I don't care if it's a Flip style or what.

I've just talked Jay into popping for a new flip camera - we'll call it my Valentine's and Anniversary gift for this year. Don't need or want anything fancy or hard to use. We'll just be using it for You-tube, possibly video's for sales pages for my own info products (THAT sounds optimistic, doesn't it!) and probably vacations and funny pet tricks.

Suggestions? A budget priced purchase would be most welcome. (non-mac, user if that makes any difference, and Costco is available.)

I have this RCA Small Wonder (yep, my aff link ha ha) and it's been fine for me. Don't know much about video as you are well aware LOL but I like that it has the 'flip' out screen on it unlike some of the other vid cameras like it.

I just got a flip ultra and love it.

You can get flip HD.....but I was told...that the HD will show all the wrinkles, etc etc

Vain women will choose the ultra....good enough

I have the small wonder as well. I really like it and it's done everything I ever needed it to do.

Get the RCA Small Wonder - HD version. The screen flips out towards you which is great for framing self video. I had the small wonder (pre-HD version) and LOVED it. Only reason I switched is because they were out of stock on the HD's when I was ready to buy.

I recently got an Aiptek with external mic & remote, but I needed that for interviews in noisy rooms. It wasnt necessary for other purposes. Enjoy your new gift!!

I just bought a flip hd for NAMS.. However, I haven't used it yet, I am waiting on Lynns review on the Aiptek. I think it maybe better for around the same price.

We just purchased a Kodak Zi8 flip video camera and love it. It is HD, great picture quality, and also has an external microphone jack so that you can better quality sound. Found it at our local Target for $169.99 on sale.

I've had a Flip for over a year and it has worked very well. I am planning to get a new camera sometime this year. The biggest problem with the Flip is that it doesn't have an external mic and if you don't have the camera very near you, it doesn't pick up your voice. (i.e., a friend video tapped me speaking and you couldn't hear me)

But overall for quick tutorial videos and testimonials, it's great!

Don't forget about the new Sony Bloggie HD camera. It's an affiliate link and I was thinking about getting it because of removable memory and flip on the lens.
