    You rock, Wade!

I've been traveling the last couple of weeks, so in and out - just caught up on this thread and appreciate all your great posts here!

Sonatanna - it will help if you create a new thread for each separate topic. That will keep the discussions on topic, and be more helpful for others looking for the same answers.

    Hi Sona,

It sounds like you're referring to a redirect. You can do this through your domain registrar - for example, I use GoDaddy. So you would log in where you registered your domain, and look for the forwarding option.

A forwarded domain will NOT rank in the search engines. So you'll have to promote it via paid ads or a lot of groundwork. That's the reason people use content, blogs & websites for affiliate promotions.

    Hi Lynn

    Thanks Lynn.
I went to Ezine and read a article and when i clicked on the link at the bottom it led me direct to to the affiliate site. Was wondering how that was possible and how the credit for sales if any can be given to the concerned person

Ezine Articles will not allow authors to link directly to an affiliate product, Sona. If you register an domain name and set it as a forwarded domain, as Lynn was saying, it can take a visitor to the the product page without their ever knowing they were redirected. I suspect that is what you experienced yourself.

When you set up a forwarded domain, it gives you the option of either showing the merchant's site with your affiliate information in the URL or masking the affiliate information by showing the product site as if it were on your domain.
    Tricky, huh?
