Two random thoughts flashed into my mind when I read this:

Will be really cool to watch when a team of IM WAHM's teams up with a bunch of the female social marketing gurus/experts and drops a bomb on the male dominated "Launch" market

    Default Missing the point?

I think we are missing the point if we come away from listening to Franks
"Core Influence" talk discussing a gender thing or guru launches.

I've just listened to the second half and took away some good points.

Namely, understanding your own core values. It's not about the things
it's about how the things make you feel once you get them.

What would be your perfect day?
Who is your perfect client or customer?

Lots of folks work towards a false happiness they imagine they'll have when _____.

Our Lynny, (as always) is my favorite example of someone who comes very close to living happy.

I thought of her as I watched the video and I'm guessing that she would not change much about her life if there were no limitations. She might do more, via outsourcing and get to do more of the things she has written in her little book.

Lynn does what she enjoys and knows her "Bob" (market) because she is him and she genuinely
    wants to help him. (them)

You will serve your customer better if you truly understand their fears and values and give good info freely from a true desire to help.

People with the same core values and desires are attracted to one another.

Seth Godin is saying the same thing in Tribes about leadership.

Perhaps Frank Kern is not the best person to deliver this talk and the material is not original but it is right on.

I happen to like Frank but I have never bought any of his stuff. I have learned plenty from the free info that is shared in many of these "launches"
    though.

Jeff Walker has many examples of successful launches in other niches and on a smaller scale by both men and women.

As for the gender thing. Perhaps guys tend to compete more and try to one up each other more so than women but I know some women who are pretty competitive too.

I also think that the internet pretty well levels the playing field for everyone so really don't like getting into the gender discussion.

If you don't believe it you should become familiar with young Ladan Lashkari.

She grew up in Iran and started out posting in forums including this one. Her grandmother believed in her enough to give her the money to order Cory Rudl's course. Her story is very inspiring and eliminates most excuses for women with fewer challenges to overcome.

Really liked the example shared by Dr Mani of blog post by Terry Dean.

I'm so happy to find that I'm not the only one to want to just quietly make my living online! Although, for my fiction stuff, a bit of fame would be nice! But for the rest of it, not so much.

A while back, I joined what is now, I guess, the new Warrior forum. And saw that Lynn's name was listed there as once being a member in the original one. As far as I could see, she was about the only woman. If there were any others, I don't recall them. Of course, they were pretty much listing the people who had been or still were members and had made it big.

Anita - my guess is that most of us just want to work hard at our online biz at home because we enjoy it. Terry Dean nailed it with his post

    http://www.terrydean.org/growth-mave...ifestyle-guru/

I think the vast majority of us want the life style and the self determination.

Jen, do you get the feeling that there will be a backlash of this guru competition when you were at the 30dc event? Or is the crowd really into it?

Purchase Frank's products, probably not ...

But what fascinates me more is the process in which he "draws" you into the sales funnel for the next product. If you watch the big guys and the up and comers they seem to follow the same path.

What he doesn't show is the army of soldiers with huge list that he is funneling this process through. That is why when he is set to release every one of the super affiliates is dropping huge bonuses to get you to buy from them and Frank either gives them 100% or whatever %. I sometimes think Frank enjoys the process of putting this together than the whole money thing anymore.

Just get on Flisame's, Moffat, Reese, Walker etc lists and you will see it. Not like any other JV deals that all businesses should be doing.

Don't get me wrong, not saying the product is not 100% top notch, but it is the sales process we can learn from and to do a mini version therein for our own products.

p.s. I have been to LaJolla, Ca many times and it really is as beautiful as it looks.

Great job! You just summed up the Internet marketing world, and our entire consumer culture society, in one clear and simple sentence.

Given how interested all of us are in happiness, it's kind of amazing how little time we actually spend studying the subject directly.

OK, OK, Tried to stay away, Got "drawn" in.... Moving away from the screen...

Now that I got some distraction from Taxes, I gotta get back to my 'from start to profit' project. I can actually use a tip or two Frank shared in the 'distraction' video, especially since it's in sync with our Elite Monthly Challenge. I think I'll have "Good Karma Giveaway" dreams tonight, hehe...

    Thanks, Frank.

    Best,
    Mary
