I'm a relative beginner to internet marketing and a newcomer to this forum. I joined because Jonathan Fields recommended Lynn in his blog post and I also listened to his audio interview with Lynn.

Jonathan's a great guy. I had the opportunity to meet him in person just over a year ago at an event in Vegas. Just as cool in person as he is online!

There is SO much online - I think it takes all of us awhile to separate the good from the not-so-good... and get things going in the right direction. It's a learning experience, and you definitely learned some things along the way (obviously) so chalk it up to a stepping stone that ultimately gets you where you want to be.

Welcome Lonnie! Glad to have you here. I heard the interview today with Lynn and Robert and it was really good.

As for the best site to use for marketing products, most people use Wordpress for both websites and blogs. I personally use XSitePro web design software for static sites but Wordpress for blogs.

You can find a lot of great info on Lynn's Internet Marketing blog. As for where to start here are two great blog posts by Lynn that might help you get on the right track.

Using advice that I got from here and from my VA, my website is finally up and running. I am now just writing some articles for ezine and some other family magazines to get the ball rolling. My next step is to start contacting other parenting websites.
