Very smart Revka. And you're right that the work is never done. The best thing we can do is continue to improve on automation and scalability in our business models. Which will include outsourcing and software solutions, so that we can continue to do what we love most in our biz. Growing pains are a good pain to have though, and I always try to keep that in mind.

    Smile Hello from the UK

    Hi Everyone

I've been following this industry for years now and found it fascinating but was going nowhere. Finally bit the bullet and took some mentoring and that has given me a real boost. With this guys (Neil Stafford) help I finally identified a niche (why is that so hard?) and then moved on quickly to outlining the contents of an e-book which was outsourced and is about ready to go on sale.

To try to maintain focus I've unsubscribed from most internet marketers lists but not Lynn's which I always find really informative. Found Lynn from Ed Dale and his podcasts - regret Ed also got the chop - I hope you take that as a compliment Lynn as in fairness he is awesome!

    Best wishes

I have been trying to make money for over 4 years now. I was doing well a few years ago by selling work at home offers. I was making money and I quit because I didn't feel like I was doing honest business. I then thought of doing something in the "mom" field and all I got from that was products to try and review. I love the products, but it doesn't pay the bills. I also felt the mom market was way over saturated.

I turned to blogging about homeschooling just for something to do. I wanted to take a break from all the working online stuff because it just wasn't working for me. I have spent more than $5000 on eBooks, reports, memberships, domains and PLR. I don't want to spend anymore until I get my feet on the ground.

I think my problem is I am not doing what is truly my passion and that is natural remedies, wellness, nutrition and diet. I have 3 domains in those fields, one I am using right now, with not much success. After one month online I have 1 person signed up for my ecourse.

I sat down today and did the plus and minus list for this niche that I love so much. I found that I don't have a problem with content. I have enough of that to write for years to come. My problem seems to be that the market is saturated as well and I don't know what to put on my sites to make money. I don't just want to offer a vitamin pill with evey post.

I guess I need help in figuring out HOW to make a profit from the health, wellness and natural remedies field. I would love to make my focus healing with foods. What can I sell? Do I make an eBook? Do I make a report? Do just write PLR and sell it to others? I don't know.

As you can see, I need help and that is why I am here.

    Cynthia,

You're smart to go with your passion. And definitely look at ways you can leverage the competition. Perhaps you can review all of the sites, products, guides, etc in your market and offer people a safe place to get the scoop on all of that stuff. Writing PLR in your niche is also a good way to make money online - and you can easily do both.

I'd love to take a look at your site and see if I could offer any suggestions. Are you targeting the longtail (super specific) keyword phrases in your niche?

    Lynn, thank you for responding

The health and remedies site is one I haven't put up yet. I'm still trying to decide how to do it. I have a marketing site I just started, but don't really know which direction to go with it. www.allnichemarketingdotcom

The other blog I have has been up awhile. I get traffic, but my heart is not into it. www.busymomsworlddotcom

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

Your links didn't work Cynthia - you'll want to replace the dotcom with .com

It's hard to break into the "online business" or "make money online" niche without any success under your belt. You might try keeping a personal journal of your own experience without doing any hard sell type stuff. People like real stories of real people...

In the meantime, get that website up!

I'm doing OK, just at the moment trying to reduce client work to pursue more niche based sites and income but also need the client work to make sure the bills get paid each month..... So trying to balance.... It's about 50/50 client work and passive right now. Hoping to make that somewhere nearer 20/80 client / passive by the end of the year.

Looking forward to really getting involved with the group and mastermind sessions when i can.

    Default Starting to gather steam

    Hello from Northern Europe

I'm a relative beginner to internet marketing and a newcomer to this forum. I joined because Jonathan Fields recommended Lynn in his blog post and I also listened to his audio interview with Lynn.

Funny thing that I have wanted to share with someone (unfortunately I did not really have anyone to share this with) is that I feel a little bit "scammed" because I happened to start following internet marketing blogs that made the whole thing appear dirty.

Then some time ago I purchased Rosalind Gardners book, read Sylvie Fortin's Internet Marketing Sins and found Clicknewz -blog. Now I'm happy but also angry that I spent all those months thinking that the only way to do things in internet marketing is the stupid ("teenagey" is this even a word?) way I learned from those blogs!!

I have mostly spinned my wheels so far, but lately I have made a couple of affiliate sales, so obviously I am doing something right.

I'm doing this part time and lot of my time still goes to learning the mechanics of internet marketing. I have found it to be essential to develop good working habits, because otherwise I get nothing done. It is just too easy to find new blogs and free stuff and spend times reading them rather than working.

I loved the egg timer thing you talked about in the interview with Jonathan. I use my cellphone's timer to structure my work... :-)

Sorry for the rant, I just had to tell this to someone. I have been feeling pretty lonely.

This is a great goal to work towards, and something I went through myself some years ago. I started out with a service-based business model in the 90's and gradually switched to Affiliate Marketing & passive income generators full-time myself.

I look forward to working with you on this!
