Thank you Leigha - that makes my day

I have a lot of changes in the works (yet again) and I am picking up some great tips and strategies to share with you guys. I am super excited about my plans to put it all together and get it out to you guys. You are going to LOVE it!

It is so much fun and at the same time a bit overwhelming how quickly my business is growing.
That's a big key - the systems and processes. I am studying more about that, and making changes in my own business on that level as well. I can totally relate. Just know: It's a good problem to have.

You're not alone in that. In fact, I'm sure several people here can empathize from their own experiences. I'm glad to hear you're on the good side of it now though. Feel free to ask here at the forum anytime you're considering a purchase or investment - we'd be happy to check it out with you first.

    Lynn,

Thanks for a great, thoughtful and thought-provoking email.

I don't really fit any of the 3 options lol ... I've just recommitted to focusing on ONE thing for the next 3 months, which is the Rhodes bros. Super Affiliate Challenge. It's just started, so I'm not "rocking it" yet but neither am I going through the motions or spinning my wheels (I LOVE metaphors!)

I do feel very positive, determined and focused. I'm a member of a small mastermind group and 3 of us are doing the Challenge there, plus of course I'm in your Elite team - where I'll definitely be asking for feedback and advice

I wish more marketers took the time to say "how are you doing? this is where I'm at" instead of like the one I got today: "Bad news! Open IMMEDIATELY!" and the "bad news" was that some over-priced "opportunity" was closing. Can you say UNSUBSCRIBE? lol

Keep on keeping it real Lynn .. it's one of the things that makes you stand head and shoulders above the crowd.

    Talking Hi Lynn and Everyone.

Hi everybody, Ian here, i've been at this "evil" affiliate thing for 3 years!...and i have learned lots and put a lot of it into action, there is a lot of great, but confusing material out there, causing me difficulty focusing on one specific thing, i get bored easily and move on to the next project (Aries).

I have made some sales over the 3 year period, but i'm not where i want to be yet, my job doesn't really get in the way, i work a couple of hours in the AM and PM driving the school bus, the rest of the day and most of the evening is spent plugging away at affiliate marketing.

I have been listening to lynn and the crew on "internet marketing this month"...sorry, i mean this week... i love the content even though some of it goes completely over top of my grey haired head.

But it's gonna happen, i just need to fail a few more times like edison.

    Cheers
    Ian

Post How I'm doing and more.

I'm just starting a new business as a life coach. The past couple years I've studied internet marketing, taken courses for that and coaching, bought several products, and on and on. I don't even have my blog set up yet but it will be in April, which is also when I am going to start local coaching and have some money coming in.

The email that came this morning from Lynn was genuine and heart-felt. I commend her for her honesty in letting us know where she is at in her life. I've been transforming my life the past couple years to one that I love living and that is highly fulfilling. Starting life coaching is part of that.

Taking action is something I've become much better at recently, since I'm operating on a shoe-string budget and having to do it all. Eventually I will outsource. I have decided that even though it may take me longer than others to get my business to the point it will eventually be, I'm okay with that. I had felt overwhelmed by all the things that need to be done, and finally came up with an affirmation that is working well for me-
"I control my own pace." Now I've created a far more workable schedule and am more productive. I look forward to interacting with this group and learning from everyone as well as trying to inspire and help others here.

    What a coincidence, Lynn!

On a whim, this morning, I sent my subscribers a note... and since I returned home this evening after surgery, I've been typing replies to so MANY of them, who responded to my invitation to connect.

And then, I saw your email - and came here, voted on the poll (Option C ) - and wanted to say how much I appreciate your effort to connect and engage with your audience

    All success

P.S. - My note was titled "Once Upon a Time..." - and is here: http://www.aweber.com/b/25rFT

Not so sure that what I'm learning is exactly what I NEED to be learning, though. So, I just create more blogs and links, answer comments, wait and soak up information. Luckily, I'm not depending on this new enterprise to put food on the table -- yet.

I'd love to take a look at what you have so far, and see if I could offer some pointers or specific advice to help you with the marketing or monetization. The two big things are traffic & conversions, with a million little things in between (like source of traffic, message to market match (keyword selection), strong call-to-action, etc, etc).

Feel free to start a new thread here at the forum if you'd like a review

    Thank you Isobel

The challenge sounds like a lot of fun, and I love that you got involved in a small mastermind group to work on it together. That should prove really helpful. I look forward to hearing your results!

LOL Ian - we actually recorded a new episode last night, and a recording was posted earlier this week too, so that should catch you up a bit. It's hard to get it out every week with all 4 of us traveling so much!

We're talking about http://www.internetmarketingthisweek.com (podcast) btw...

So what would you say is the biggest thing holding you up in regards to affiliate marketing? Different people find different aspects of it particularly challenging - just curious what your thoughts are.

    Hey Lynn,

Thank you for the thoughtful e-mail. The poll is a great idea. I wish everyone was rockin' it, but it's somehow comforting to know that I'm not alone spinning my wheels.

I was working on one project (still not sure if my heart is in it), but now another project has taken priority. So I'm working at starting another site to promote this product.

I believe I am spinning my wheels b/c I am overwhelmed by all the possibilities. I need to work on breaking the work down into smaller chunks and getting it done. Guess that's where I'll begin- organizing tasks and taking action.

    Thanks for the support!
    Rachelle
