Thread: Can no longer get into webinars

Default Can no longer get into webinars

I haven't been able to get into the webinars for months. Each time I have had to re-install the web conferencing plugin.exe. However, I keep getting an error. I have tried the Start> Run which doesn't work either. I have tried using browse from the "run" to the plugin in the C:\ drive \Programs file. The a login window opens for me to insert my name and password. I enter the correct information, click to enter and a message comes up saying that I have to click on the link on the page. I click the link on the page [http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.co.../login.htm]and it attempts another installation. It never completes. I get an error that says 'InstallWizard can't copy the file:
    C:\Program Files\TC Web Conferencing\WebConferencePlugin.exe
What would you like to do?"

The 3 choices are 1)Retry (does the same thing 2)Ignore (reinstalls -message Please enter room at your normal login page 3)Cancel

A go back to the link on the page and the process repeats itself. A popup install window that says to "run" or "cancel"

Each time I have done this I get frustrated, go back to work, and forget about until the next time when I again go through the same vicious cycle.

If any one knows what is going on I would really appreciate it. Frustrated again.

    Thanks bunches

P.S. Hope I posted this in the right place. Sorry if I didn't.

I would try to uninstall/remove the plugin first, then attempt to install it fresh on your system and see if that works. If not, let me know and we'll try to hook up with support and see what the issue is.

Also, what operating system & browser are you using?

There are known issues with Windows 7 and Mac OS.

    Hi Lynn,

You sweetie! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I have completely uninstalled all of it through Revo Uninstaller each time to make sure I get all traces gone and then do a registry scan just to make sure everything truely is gone, and each week I go through the same thing. I never use to have a problem so I don't know "what the hay?"

Nope I don't have any of the new stuff, just using Windows XP as an OS and use FireFox usually as the browser.

I have done spyware scans, malware scans, anti-virus scans just in case there might be something lurking, but so far nothing. I do disk checks and defrags weekly just to keep everything clean, so I am baffled as to why this is happening and why it no longer likes me. I'm not only frustrated, I'm bummed because I've missed so much that you offer.

I am grateful for the rerun links you send though, thank you so much for that. Only trouble is that often when I get around to reading my email, any offer I may have been interested in is over. Oh, well, that's life in the slow lane.

If any of the readers have a clue as to what else I should be cleaning out to get it to work again, I would be deeply grateful.

    Aloha,
    June

Ahh - try logging in with Internet Explorer instead

You can test this week's password. I'll keep it live for you to test.

(the room will be empty, of course )

Well, smack me and tickle me pink! That worked. Reinstalled and logged in with IE no problem. That is so weird. The only time I ever use IE any more (last 3 years) is if I have to do something on the MS website.

I tried it on Chrome too and no problem. FireFox is the culprit and it is my faves. I'll have to check the FireFox forum for these types of issues and see if I can report it somewhere.

Thank you so much for solving this Gr-r-r-r frustrating problem!

Alrighty then, now I will be able to "see" you all next week - finally! WhooHoo!

I am a FF user too, but have to log in via IE. A pain.

What you missed in today's webinar, is that there is no live webinar next week! But we're back on in two weeks, so we'll see you then

    - I'll send out an email on that too, so no worries having to remember!

Thanks for the info. This must be because the FF updates haven't caught up yet. Cause I always used FF before to join in. Didn't you use to be on GoWebinar?

When I first had the problem I thought there had been a conference call change. Not sure though.

Anyway, thanks again so much for your help. It is greatly appreciated!
