    Default Increasing Twitter Followers

I'm very new to Twitter as I only just recently started doing business online.

There are lots of techniques out there about how to get more followers, but I'd like to hear from you all. What techniques did you use that helped you get more targeted followers on Twitter? Thanks!

Engage others. Follow people with like interests. Comment on and RT their posts.

I introduce myself to other people that has the same interest as mine, Then I follow them so I can ask them to follow me back. Aside from that, I always see to it that I post interesting topics on twitter.

Search people of your interest or business, and follow them many twitter user will follow you back , my experience, after that send them private message and try to build network. Also when you post on twitter title must be unique and interesting.

I wouldn't recommend sending private messages via Twitter. I know for me personally I can't stand getting all those PM's and just delete them. However I think it would a good idea to tweet out a "thanks for the follow @username" in my main Twitter stream and get connected that way.

    Thoughts?

I'm with Angie. Show that you actually put effort into it. If the connection mattered, then it's worth it. If it was just an auto message DM for the follow, then why are you bothering? Computers don't talk or market with other computer programs. There has to be a human connection in there or it's time wasted in my opinion.
