Angie, Congratulations on your move away from meat for your body. For others no judgment.

My lifestyle is very basic and simple. I feel for VIP days it be a bargain to learn from my teaching style and 35 year+ of experience. Keeping it simple is my key to teach others with low cost on equipment.

I'm sure I am not unique in teaching but love it and maybe for some I am separated from some.

    Flying out to Zumba now.
Thanks Angie. Here for ya! Let me know how I can help ya!

    Hi Carol,

That sounds like a good eBook. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would be interested in it.

Basically, for writing my eBooks I use Microsoft Word. However, if you are on the Mac, then you would want to use iWork if you have it. But if you don't then, Open Office is a good option, just like what Angie said.

Just create a document, and turn it into PDF and you are done.

Additional tips: If you are creating an eBook with a lot of pictures, like your recipe book, then you might consider using a presentation creator instead of a word processor for it.

By presentation creator, I mean something like Microsoft Powerpoint or iWork Keynote instead of using Microsoft Word or iWork Pages.

The reason is because it is more suited for moving and editing pictures than a word processor. If I were making a recipe book, I would rather use that if you know how to. You can convert presentation slides into PDF as well.

But that is more on personal preference.

    Cheers,
    Infinity

Thanks Infinity. I do use IWorks (pages) and do use Keynote (on MAC). Thanks tons. I get conflicting about protecting the pictures: some say watermark, others say use copyright symbol. Apple store said other day you can always "crack" the picture and copy it. Thanks tons. It sounds like I am on my way to creating it to pdf, but then I am stumped at next step. Maybe graphic designer comes into play at this point???? Or...

Hmm... well, I'm not too sure about protecting pictures. I've never done an eBook using pictures of my own.

What type of graphics do you need?

    HI Infinity,
For pictures I have my own that I took of the recipes that I am creating.

For ebook, you first put into a document and then convert into pdf...then off to graphic person to finish up for format??? Curious.

Yesterday one salad became several in minutes and took pictures....like 100. I love all of them...deleted what I didn't but still always hard choice to say this is the best.

    Thanks always.

    Hi Carol,
Hopping in quick but wanted to say Courtney can help you with your ebook cover design http://courtneywebdesigns.com/

And this might be a silly question because I should probably know already but do you have a blog for this? You could definitely get into the food blogging niche, that would be cool.

    HI Angie,
Thanks for remembering me. I do have a blog. I would not call it strictly Food oriented. I want to include gardening and herbs besides food too.

My blog is not finished but is: http://CarolGiambri.com

I am working on the ebook still. Not sure if I am ready for Courtney at this point. I do appreciate her link if need be. Yesterday worked on several pictures. It was one salad that became several and about 100 pictures. Of course not all can be used for just an ebook.

Again thanks for your help. I need to come back here more often.
Been busy so haven't been live on Lynn's call - Thursdays.
