That is actually a pretty good step. Most new marketers either try to make the process too complicated.
If I were to dumb it completely down for you, here is what it would look like....
- Create an Offer- This could be content for content sites, an actual product for a list, ect...ect....
- Find your market- This can be you going to where your market is (hustling) or doing things in which your market finds you (once again, hustling)
- Figure out a way to get your market to do what you want them to do- This is the marketing side of the equation....
This model is the same offline as it is online and it doesn't matter if you are selling your own products, other people's products, ad space or a service. The mechanics are pretty much the same.
In your case, you are using the "gain-retain" list strategy which is a great strategy because if done right, the actual work would be less than say someone who is using content as the carrot.
