Default Suggestions for knowledgeable person to help me with first website

I'm setting up my first website (http://havefungoinggreen.com). It's a WP blog and affiliate site. Need help with bitty technical parts and layout suggestions. Right now I'm chasing my tail trying to learn on my own. You can visit the site to see what's there. I can't pay a lot, but I will negotiate something that works for you as well.

    Skipper,
No one has been notified that the main forum is open over here so there won't be many people commenting. Just wanted to let you know. Hope you are able to get back in to elite soon as that is where all the chatter is going.

I think the layout is fine. What other technical questions do you have?

I would say just get started with content and you can tweak and fix things as you go along. If you know my blog, I have had the same theme for years. It's pretty dull and needs work but I'm not stressing over that, just always focused on getting good content out there.

    It looks good Skipper,
Aggie is right. Just focus on content for now.
If you use keywords in the title of the article it will be more relevant in search results.
For the one widget area on the right, just move a text box there and put in a twitter widget, facebook widget or ad for amazon or whatever. It can be modified in your wp dashboard widget area.

The site looks great! I love the theme and tagline - its very inviting. I agree that you should focus on fleshing out the content to start. Fill in the pages and start blogging. Everything else will be an easy fix or addition.

Let us know what technical changes you want to make specifically. We can help you with those.

A minor suggestion: change the page url using permalinks.

    I think you're doing great.

As all the others are saying, content is king and the most you post real solid stuff, the more the search engines will spider your site. Of course, always build your content for your readers, first and foremost.

If you give your readers what they want, they'll love you for it and come back for more.

Since it is well past Jan 4th I suggest that you remove the Get Site Build part of your signature

Your Theme alleges no coding required, that would be the first place I would try to get help. I am presuming that you paid money for the Theme(which is okay, but by definition that should be the 1st place you go for help) How quickly and what kind of help you receive from them should be factored in if you stay with this Theme

    Clay,
I think it was in regard to PDX Guy's signature.
