With MyBlogLog in decline and now finally shutting down, I was wondering what fellow forum-ers thought of it.
What initially intrigued me about MyBlogLog was the famous widget which showed who visited your site. This provided me an avenue to do some market research on who came and what they were interested in reading (and what other blogs they were reading).
From my perspective, the 'friending' aspect of it quickly eroded the quality of the service as spammers took hold. It stopped being useful and became like how Twitter is now with spammy followers. (it's as if they moved from one website to another!)

- did it bring any meaningful traffic to your sites
- why/if you stopped using it
- what do you use now instead of it
