Is paid Manual Directory Submission OutSourcing useful?
I am now submitting the free directories manually for my new website, but it is slow.
And today I find the paid Manual Directory Submission OutSourcing on a website. The cost is:
2000 Directory Submission Service
•Price: $100.00 USD
•Directories: 2000
•Anchor Text: Unlimited
•Reporting: XLS Sheet
•Turn Around: 15 Days
•Link Information: Requested After Payment
My questions are:
1. Is it believable?
2. It looks like so cheap. Is it really manual? I am worrying about if they submit by auto-software.
3. About the anchor link mentioned about, what is its meaning?
I would bet they are using software, not that it makes a difference. Honestly, whether it is done manually or by sofware, you are still getting the same result. It doesn't make a difference.
I wouldn't spend any money on it though because other than DMoz and the Yahoo directory, the directories are pretty much useless.
others than DMoz and the Yahoo directory are useless? In some other posts, I have seen somebody say that just to make sure to promote to the high PR free directory, it will has more or less help.
What should I do now? Should I stop submitting the free directories and put most efforts on the blog, forum and social networking? Thanks for the help.
Submitting to "high PR directories" is virtually useless.
Here's why. It doesn't matter what the PR of the domain is. Your listing is going to show up on a PR n/a or PR 0 page.
Now if it is a directory about your niche... like you are doing something about healthy living and you find a fitness directory or something similar, the relevancy can count for something.
I wouldn't waste time submitting a site to hundreds or thousands of directories though hoping to get any SEO benefit out of it. There is no SEO benefit to it.
