iPhone or Android..which do you prefer and why?

Hi,

What smart phone do you recommend based upon your experience running an online business...I'm thinking of replacing my internet phone as the costs would be similar but I would get more features.

I like the ease of use of the iPhone, brilliant screen and long battery life but it doesn't have all the features of the Droid phones.

Features I'd like..

Ease of use
Send and receive emails anywhere, anytime
Take photos, videos (HD) anywhere, anytime.
Mobile Hotspot (to use laptop on the go)
Voice recorder
Speaker phone
Long battery life
Memory card slot
USB connectivity
Touch screen
Grace period (to check functionality)
International reach
Ability to automatically connect with Wi-Fi hot spots
Ample storage space (pics, videos)
Voice to text
Different rings to differentiate customers from family members
Application that switches off all unwanted programs running in background

A smart phone costs $200-350 plus the data plan would cost $29.99/month since I'm already on a family plan (according to a Verizon sales person). Are these the true fees or do they add additional fees above 29.99/month?

Feel free to recommend other useful features I haven't mentioned.

I've had both an android and an iPhone. After a few months I ended up sticking with the android and taking the iPhone back. Reasons 1) the iPhone could not sync with my Outlook calendar without uploading my entire calendar/contacts/tasks to iTunes and then downloading, which kept crashing my PC, and I didn't really want all that info uploaded to iTunes anyway. 2) the iPhone seems to be more for fun and games and social media, the android seems to be more for business. Yes, there are less apps for the 'droid but anything that is business-related seems to be available. 3) the coverage with the iPhone was miserable, my calls kept dropping even when I was right in the middle of town. I do not have that problem with the android phone.

I have the HTC Evo. It is freaking amazing. At first, I didn't think I would like the large screen of the Evo. Now I cannot imagine ever having a smaller phone. I have an iPod Touch too, which is basically the iPhone without the phone. I hate the smaller screen on there.

Unless you are hooked on Apple products, I would go with Android. With Android you are not paying for the Apple name. You can get an even better phone for the same price or cheaper.

Is the Evo the 3D phone - how does that work?

Many will say Iphone but I was never a Iphone Fan, I used Iphone 2, 3, 3g but finally decided to move on, currently using Galaxy S2 and happy with the Phone..

Though You cant beat the tough of iphone..

Android is best as OS..

the preference for android or iPhone purely depends upon the nature of work you intend to do on the phone but what me experience says after using both the phones is that iOS is much better as compared to an android
reasons being
1)speed of an iPhone remains same throughout the lifetime from the first day till its last day
2)in any of the softwares used an iOS provides you more customisation options than an android could ever provide
3)iPhone's battery life is much better than android because the apps on app store are much lighter than same apps on play store
4)an iPhone's connectivity with wifi is faster and better and also it reaps better speed from modem than android
5)for fun you could always boast in front of chicks with an iPhone than an android
