Default Does anyone use Dragon Naturally Speaking software?

Dragon Naturally Speaking has been around for ages. I tried it back in the '90s with hit and miss success.

They have a bundle special this week and I was thinking about trying it again.

If anyone has used DNS, could they comment on how well it works for them?

Hi Greg, I haven't tried DNS but I did play around with the Window's Speech Recognition software that comes free with Windows 7 now. I just couldn't get into writing that way myself.

I have the app on my iPad and LOVE it. It's much better than it was back in the 90's - LOL. Here's a guest post by someone who uses it regularly too: http://www.clicknewz.com/2087/dragon...ally-speaking/

Yes, and I love it, back to using it again. It's perfect when the words just aren't flowing from my pen to paper or screen,- you can just start speaking to see some natural words begin to flow again. It creates the text into notepad so you can upload it to any platform you want. That's useful to me as a starting point... There's a lot more you can do with it and sync additional programs like Outlook with it. Nuance has a YouTube channel that gives very short clips of tips, which I stumbled on last week and found to be very enlightening as to what other things you can do with Dragon. Creativity Personalized.. have fun with it.

    Best,

I have DNS and I guess I haven't given it a proper run because I didn't find it easy to use at all. I decided I could get there quicker by just writing but I am pretty old school.

Mary, Do you just go to Youtube and look for Nuance's channel? I will have to check that out and see if I can learn a few tips and try DNS again.

Yes, and I love it! I use it on my PC, Droid phone and iPad. Priceless!
